Pokerstars Site Review
Pokerstars is the largest online poker site that you will find anywhere. It doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon either because they have more than 200K players at their tables during peak hours.
There are some unique features to this site like the tournament replay feature. For some tournaments, the final table is recorded and then replayed with hole cards for everyone to watch afterwards. These tournaments will usually be visible for about a week after they have actually been played.
You will also have the opportunity to play with former WSOP champions Chris Moneymaker, Greg "Fossilman" Raymer and Joe Hachem. All of these guys are sponsored by Pokerstars and you can find them playing exclusively on this poker site.
PokerStars Locations
PokerStars is open to people across the world, however, they are no longer open to players from the United States due to some problems with the US government. If you are from Italy, we recommend that you visit pokerstars. If you are from Germany, we recommend you visit pokerstars (here).
And if you are from Russia, you should certainly check out pokerstars. Each site will be translated into your native language so that you don't have to worry about not understanding what is going on.
Pokerstars Game Variety
In addition to the poker games like Holdem, Stud and Omaha, you can find a wide selection of other games that you won't find in many other places.
You can play some of the old games that have died out in most poker rooms like 5 Card Draw. Pokerstars also hosts games that are just starting to gain popularity like Badugi and a few of the mixed games.
Pokerstars Poker Tournaments
Pokerstars is the dominant poker site as far as tournaments are concerned. Check out my article on good poker tournament sites for more information about this.
Pokerstars Software
You will also find Pokerstars listed on this website as one of the best Mac poker sites. Pokerstars has had their Mac and PC software clients in place for years now and they are among the best of all the poker sites. It seems to be accepted that Pokerstars is a little bit behind Full Tilt as far as software is concerned, but they are still one of the top poker rooms in this regard.
I have seen some terrible software programs at some of the poker sites where I have played. Overall, I think Pokerstars is in the top 3 for software. I just can't give them the #1 spot because that clearly belongs to Full Tilt. Just head on over to the Pokerstars website for more details and to start playing: Pokerstars.
